Formed body composed of a compound material containing magnesium and method for production of same

The mold body made of magnesium containing composite material, consists of a matrix from particles of magnesium and/or magnesium alloy with particles of beta phase of aluminum magnesium component (Al 60Mg 40)finely distributed in the matrix with a cubic area centering crystal structure. Particles of beta phase of aluminum magnesium alloy of 45-55vol.% are contained in the matrix. The particles of magnesium or magnesium alloy have a particle size of 0.1-100 mu m. An independent claim is included for method for the production of mold body.
