The linear actuator (2) comprises a body (4) extended by a sliding rod (5). The cylindrical body has two diametrically opposite protuberances (6). The actuator is inserted in a U-section part (3) provided with two side openings so that each protuberance emerges form each opening. This positioning is obtained by means of a compression pin (10) which is supported against the part.
