<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new medicine for preventing or treating diseases developing or proceeding by the decrease or loss of activity of blood coagulation factor VIII, e.g. hemophilia A, acquired hemophilia, Von Willebrand disease, etc. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An antibody is provided for promoting the production of the activated blood coagulation factor VIII. The antibody promotes the cleavage at 372 Arg and suppresses the cleavage at 336 Arg in the blood coagulation factor VIII by recognizing both of an A1 acidic range and an A3 acidic range in the blood coagulation factor VIII and binding to the factor.
