<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous polyester resin improved with its application property and solving the issues of working environment and environment maintenance caused by a solvent by making the polyester resin as an aqueous solution, without invading base materials in the case of using it for processing fibers, PET films or the like, and also equipping excellent flame retardance. <P>SOLUTION: This aqueous polyester resin is produced through the process of reacting for the condensation or polycondensation of a polycarboxylic acid component, glycol component and water solubility-imparting component in the presence of a layered silicate. The aqueous polyester resin is imparted with a property of dispersing or dissolving in an aqueous medium by the water solubility-imparting component. Also, the flame retardance is imparted by making it a nano-composite with the layered silicate. Further, by nano-composite formation with the layered silicate, its form becomes hardly collapsible on burning and the scattering of liquid droplets at a high temperature is inhibited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
