PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a motorized venetian blind, which can enhance a light blocking effect in the full closing of a slat. SOLUTION: In this motorized venetian blind, a ladder cord is supported in the state of being suspended from a tilt drum; multitiered slats are supported by the ladder cord; a bottom rail is attached to a lower end of a hoisting and lowering tape; and an upper end of the hoisting and lowering tape is wound around a hoisting and lowering drum. The motorized venetian blind makes a slat hoisting and lowering operation and an angle adjusting operation performed by rotating the tilt drum and the hoisting and lowering drum by a drive shaft which is driven by a motor. The motorized venetian blind is equipped with a controller which rotates the tilt drum 20 at a low speed so as to turn the slats 13 to a totally enclosed direction, after rotating the tilt drum 20 at a high speed so as to direct the slats 13 in an inverse totally enclosed direction.
