<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for a stairway enabling steps to be attached thereto by a simple method without using a rising beam, manufacturable at low cost, and also enabling an opening to be secured on the step installation surface. <P>SOLUTION: This support for a stairway comprises long poles 11 held by upper and lower horizontal members 31, 32 and arranged parallel to each other at predetermined intervals and short poles 16 arranged between the adjacent long poles 11. One sheet of step 33 is supported by the side surfaces of each long pole 11 and each short pole 16. Grooves 12, 17 are formed in both opposed surfaces of the adjacent long poles 11 and the short pole 16. A plate member 21 is inserted in a manner so as to straddle both grooves 12, 17, nails 23 are driven thereto to form the plate member 21 integrally with the long poles 11 and the short pole 16, and the short pole 16 is secured at a height according to the step 33. Since the short pole 16 is used, the amount of members can be reduced, and the upper and lower areas of the short pole 16 can be utilized as openings. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
