The fork (10) has two fork blades (30) that are connected with the fork shaft (20). Each blade exhibits a partially elastically deformable lever (40) that is connected with a brake body (60). Fastening units (50) are provided for fastening a traction mechanism that causes an elastic deformation of the lever. The body is a brake pad that is directed perpendicular to the blades and connected with the lever, or a brake lining that is applied on the lever. The lever is formed as a guide extending perpendicular to a plane of the blades, where the lever contains a fiber composite material. An independent claim is also included for a bicycle brake with a lever that is a partially elastically deformable.
