<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a sound break at an audio top by simple processing in a speech processing unit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The speech processing unit 1 has a DSP 11 and a D-A conversion section 12. The DSP 11 performs prescribed data processing to digital voice data of an inputted digital voice file. The D-A conversion section 12 converts the digital voice data after the data processing by the DSP 11 to analog voice data. When the sampling frequency of the digital voice data of the precedently inputted digital audio file differs from that of the digital voice data of the subsequently inputted digital voice file, the DSP 11 adds silent data of a prescribed amount of time to the top of the digital voice data of the subsequently inputted digital voice file, thereby converting the normal digital voice data to the analog voice data after the completion of sampling frequency setting and preventing the sound break.
