<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical oriented film which is suitably used in an image display such as a liquid crystal display, ensures a high degree of freedom of optical design and has excellent flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: The optical oriented film is obtained by drawing a resin having a negative intrinsic birefringence, wherein the resin contains as a principal component a copolymer having a negative intrinsic birefringence and containing a (meth)acrylic ester unit, an aromatic vinyl compound unit and an aromatic maleimide unit as constituent units. The copolymer has a weight-average molecular weight of 100,000-300,000 and a content X of the (meth)acrylic ester unit, a content Y of the aromatic vinyl compound unit and a content Z of the aromatic maleimide unit in the copolymer satisfy, as expressed by wt.%, 30≤X≤70, 5≤Y≤30, 10≤Z≤40 and Y<Z. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
