PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for managing a schedule in a portable terminal are provided to enable a user to input a schedule promptly by displaying a schedule through a white board including an analog clock. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(204) displays a user interface of white board type on a standby screen. A touch sensor(206) provides coordinates on the standby screen. Through the touch coordinates, a controller(200) controls the schedule data to be displayed on the white board. The user interface of the white board type includes at least one of an analog watch and a data deletion icon.
