<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, with respect to an electrical connector, a shield effect of a contact connection part needs to be reinforced in conventional one and furthermore, downsizing and cost reduction are necessary in the lock mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The electrical connector 1 is constituted of a contact to be connected to a signal line, an insulating housing having a housing part to house the contact, and a metallic shell to surround the housing and electrically shields except for the connecting part.
