<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian protection structure of an automobile, in which the reaction force occurring at the time of collision with a pedestrian at the automobile's front face is appropriately adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: The pedestrian protection structure of an automobile includes a lower absorber 21 allocated at a lower part of the inside of a front bumper, and is so made that if an impact is added to the front bumper from the front at the time of the collision with a pedestrian at the automobile's front face, the lower absorber 21 undergoes deformation in the longitudinal direction of the automobile so as to absorb the load by the impact, while an impact absorbing member 22 is provided to the front part of the lower absorber 21.
