PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing with a seal improved in durability and water resistance while preventing the turn of a head part relative to a seal groove in the inner peripheral face of an outer ring by keeping the rotating torque of the head part greater than that of a lip part under the conditions that liquid such as paint or treatment liquid is easily deposited and solidified onto the lip part of the seal. SOLUTION: In the rolling bearing, an annular lip part clearance SL is formed between an outer peripheral face 2a of an inner ring 2 and a contact end 5L1 of the lip part 5L of the seal 5 on the upper side, opposing each other, in communication with the outside through an upper side end face 5b. The contact end 5L1 of the lip part 5L contacts the outer peripheral face 2a of the inner ring 2 on the lower side. In the lip part clearance SL, a wax-filled part W is formed which is filled with wax having a melting point of 50°C. The wax filled-part W forms a coating layer covering the contact end 5L1 of the lip part 5L and seals the lip part clearance SL. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
