<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sublimation type thermal transfer printer which can visually alleviate an unevenness of conveyance which appears in a printed image caused by a paper conveying and ink conveying due to the mechanical unevenness of a paper conveying system and ink conveying system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This sublimation type thermal transfer printer 10 which is a sublimation type thermal transfer printer 10 with a thermal head 7 includes: a print speed processing part 2 for assigning different print speed information to respective colors of yellow, magenta and cyanogen; an image transfer table 3 for specifying the energization time of the thermal head 7 according to printing data for every print speed information assigned in each color; a thermal head control part 4 which refers to the image transfer table 3 and controls the energization/non-enegization of the thermal head 7 according to the energization time of the thermal head 7 corresponding to the assigned print speed information; a conveyance speed control part 5 for controlling the speed of paper and ink conveying from the assigned print speed information.
