The optical element (1) has a light source (3) and a lens (5). An element is placed between the source and lens. The light is coupled on a light coupling surface (1a), which is decoupled on a light decoupling surface (1b). The surface (1b) is arranged above an optical axis (4) of the lens, where the surface (1b) is a curve bent in a concave manner on a side of a vertical plane (11) through the axis. Bent of the curve corresponds to a bent of a field and a focal line of the lens in a maximum lateral tilt position of the lens, when the lens tilts in the headlight around the axis.
