<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrolase, etc., of N-substituted formamides. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrolase of the N-substituted foramides has the following enzymological properties. (1) actions: catalyzing a hydrolytic reaction of the N-substituted formamide into an amine, (2) substrate specificity: having an activity for at least N-benzylformamide, etc., (3) molecular weight: about 61,000 (according to an SDS-PAGE), (4) optimum temperature: about 35°C, (5) optimum pH: about 7, (6) effects of metal ions: inhibited with Cu<SP>+</SP>, Cu<SP>2+</SP>, Ag<SP>+</SP>and Hg<SP>2+</SP>, (7) effects of SH group-modifying reagent: inhibited with p-chloromercury benzoate, (8) effects of chelating agent: inhibited with 8-hydroxyquinoline and (9) effects of reducing agent: inhibited with 2-mercaptoethanol, dithiothreitol, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
