<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of preventing the erroneous detection of attitude detection when an image blur is corrected. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a moving possible area switching means which checks the degree of the deformation of the ball receiving surface of a receiving part 428 where a ball member 407 has a rolling motion by changing positions of the ball member (Cen→Cen13, Cen→Cen23, Cen→Cen33, and Cen→Cen43) with respect to the moving possible area of a movable member whenever an image blur correction function is actuated and newly switches an area where the degree of the deformation is smallest as the moving possible area of the movable member.
