<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely use an IP address to be succeeded from a main system server by a stand-by server even when it is not possible to stop the use of an IP address on a main system server where any failure is generated. <P>SOLUTION: In a cluster system, a stand-by system server 20 is provided with a control table for registering the information of an ARP request by using a specific IP address to be used by a service to be provided by a main system server 10 as a target IP address. A communication control device 23 of the stand-by system server 20 is configured to transmit an ARP response (disturbing packet) 54 in which a false physical address is set as a transmission origin physical address in the case of succeeding the specific IP address as the result of the detection of a failure 51 of the main system server, and to transmit an ARP response 55 in which the physical address and specific IP address of the stand-by server 20 are respectively set as the transmission origin physical address and the transmission origin IP address to the transmission origin of the ARP request shown by the information registered in the control table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
