THE EXPANSION JOINT CHANGE METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION FOR WHICH A BRACKET WAS USED

PURPOSE: An expansion joint replacing method using a triangle bracket mounted on an edge rail is provided to increase durability of the expansion joint by increasing the coherence between the triangle bracket and the edge rail. CONSTITUTION: An edge rail(12) is re-organized and the end of a triangle bracket(14) is cut to V-shape. A horizontal plane of the bracket is fixed on the side of the edge rail with a fillet welding. A part of the edge rail and a lower plate(19) is cut in the V-shape. A rubber seal(22) is set up in a connection part. An upper plate(24) of the expansion joint plate is united on the rubber seal with a high tension bolt(26). The connection part of the high tension bolt is sealed with a calking material.
