PURPOSE: A field coil assembly of an electromagnetic clutch for a compressor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to guarantee operation reliability of a field coil assembly by dually shielding the connection part of a terminal and a coil with a shielding part and a protective coating part. CONSTITUTION: A field coil assembly(20) of an electromagnetic clutch for a compressor comprises a coil, a connector(30), and a protective coating part. The coil is installed on the core. The coil is formed by winding the wire. The coil generates suction magnetic flux. The connector is installed at one side of the core. The connector has a terminal inside. The connector is electrically connected to one end of the wire. The protective coating part prevents the one end of the wire and the connection part of the terminal.
