PURPOSE: A browser display method and a portable terminal using the same for displaying a web page in a corresponding display mode are provided to increase the convenience of a user by automatically selecting a display mode of the web page according to URL information. CONSTITUTION: A user performs an internet connection request for connecting a specific web page(S401). The internet connection request inputs the selection of internet connection or URL(Uniform Resource Locator) input in a menu. A controller confirms display mode selection information when internet connection is requested(S403). The controller controls a display unit for displaying the web page(S405).
