PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of fixing work of a rest bar and also to perform conveying work of a rolling mill easily and rapidly. SOLUTION: A holding body 2 with which a rest bar 1 can be held on the side of the rolling mill 6 is provided, this holding body is attachably and detachably mounted to the rolling mill 6 with bolts 5 and a clamp cylinder 3 with which the rest bar 1 can be pressed and fixed toward the rolling mill by hydraulic pressure through the holding body 2 is provided. A spring 4 which is incorporated in the clamp cylinder energizes elastically to the rod 3a of the clamp cylinder in the direction in which the side of the nose part of this rod is pressed against the rest bar, and the rest bar 1 can be fixed to the rolling mill by the spring force of the spring even when the hydraulic pressure of the clamp cylinder disappears.
