<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, reducing artifact regardless of a photographing condition. <P>SOLUTION: The polarity of the inclination of a gradient magnetic field, which is inclined along a first direction and synthesized with a static magnetic field generated by a magnet, is selected depending on a photographing position.
