PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a coating of a fine flow amount to be accurately discharged, by stabilizing the flow rate of the coating discharged from a spray gun. SOLUTION: An injection amount control method for a coating apparatus comprises the steps of supplying a coating a in a coating supply tank 1 to the spray gun 5 by supplying force-feeding air 3 adjusting pressure to the coating supply tank 1, injecting a part of the coating a with atomizing air 14 by discharging it from the spray gun 5 and recovering a coating a' which is not discharged from the spray gun 5 by a return pipe 7, wherein the return pipe 7 is connected to an airtight coating recovery tank 16 to adjust a pressure difference between pressure in the coating supply tank 1 and pressure in the coating recovery tank 16 by reducing pressure in the coating recovery tank 16, thereby adjusting the flow rate of the coating a to be supplied to the spray gun 5.
