PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a therapeutic agent exhibiting effects safely, surely and rapidly by elucidating the reasons of problems in that conventional therapeutic agents of meniere's disease are necessarily taken in a large amount, it takes a long time for exhibiting its effects and the agent is not suitable for the administration for a long period of time. Ž
SOLUTION: The adverse effects accompanying the large amount of administration of a principal agent are avoided by observing the effects of a sugar or a sugar alcohol which is the principal agent, in an internal ear at the both of the treated side and normal side, inhibiting the elevation of plasma osmotic pressure and plasma AVP (arginine vasopressin) and confirming the safe and sure exhibition of an endolymphatic hydrops decompression effect by reducing the amount of administration of the principal agent, which is considered as impossible until now. By adding a necessary minimum amount of polysaccharides for aiming at an antidiarrheal activity, and also eliminating additives not directly related to the treatment as much as possible, the sure exhibition of the effects of the principal agent is succeeded even if the principal agent is of a small amount.
