The engine has a clamping jaw (30) provided with two arms such that the arms of the clamping jaw act on fuel injectors (24) and press the fuel injectors against a seal seat (32) into a cylinder head (10) with preset force. A M8-threaded bolt (12) is provided to fasten the clamping jaw to the cylinder head. The arms of the clamping jaw and/or the threaded bolt are designed such that the arms and/or the threaded bolt are subjected to plastic deformation by the force for pressing of the fuel injectors against the seat into the cylinder head.
