<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To schedule downloading based on a period actually required for single downloading of firmware in order to enhance the probability of downloading in a digital broadcast receiver and control method of the same for downloading the firmware repeatedly transmitted at regular intervals with the broadcast wave. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver is provided with a DL process control part 309 for outputting a transmission schedule of firmware obtained prior to firmware transmission. The receiver is additionally provided with a repetitive DL time deriving part 314 for calculating a repetitive DL time indicating the time to start downloading the firmware repeatedly transmitted from the transmission schedule outputted from the DL process control part 309. Scheduling firmware download is executed or a user is urged to execute scheduling by using each repetitive DL time calculated by the repetitive DL time deriving part 314 as a candidate for the time to start downloading. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
