<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a provisional membership management system and method capable of highly efficiently providing saved game medium service to a player irrespective of the registration of a membership. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a provisional membership receipt issue operation is done on a ball counter 10, a receipt issue part 12 requests a provisional membership number to a prize management machine 20, in response to the request, when the provisional membership number is notified from the price management machine 20, the receipt issue part 12 issues the provisional membership receipt 50 where the provisional membership number is printed with bar codes, and at the same time registration request data containing the provisional membership number and the number of saved balls are transmitted to the price management machine 20 and registered in a provisional membership management table 23a on the prize management machine 20. Later on, when the player brings the provisional membership receipt 50 to the prize management machine 20, the bar code is read by a bar code reader 25 to acquire the provisional membership number and the number of saved balls corresponding to the acquired provisional membership number are acquired from the provisional membership management table 23a to exchange them with a prize.
