<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus which improve the separation accuracy, using a simple method, regardless of the type of particles contained in a liquid, even if the difference in the dielectric migration forces is small, as in the case where the materials of the particles are similar. <P>SOLUTION: At least two types of particles contained in a liquid which flows inside of a channel are subjected to a dielectric migration by an inhomogeneous electric field generated with electrodes. For separating them utilizing a difference in dielectric properties, after the particles are made to be distributed inhomogeneously in a maldistribution section 13, side with an electrode 8 for maldistribution generating the first uneven electric field, they are made to flow downstream. The particles to be acquired are acquired in about an acquisition section 14 with an electrode 10 for acquisition arranged on the facing side of the maldistribution section 13, in the downstream across the channel and generating the second inhomogeneous electric field. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
