<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that controls the deterioration of an image support surface due to adsorption of ozone when performing a refresh process in initial toner installation, and that effectively prevents initial image defect immediately after initial toner installation. <P>SOLUTION: In an initial installation mode after a toner container 20 is replaced, toner is caused to fly from a developing roller 35 to a photoreceptor drum 14 to forcedly consume toner. Thus, the refresh process is performed. At this point, a control part 90 compares an outside temperature detected by an outside temperature-humidity sensor 23 with a predetermined reference temperature to set the application timing of charging bias and developing bias, thereby correcting the execution time of the refresh process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
