PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring an optical signal and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to have an optical signal monitoring apparatus selecting and monitoring only an optical signal having a desired wavelength from a multiple wavelength optical signal, thereby miniaturizing the apparatus in a structure that unit cells are arranged. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for monitoring an optical signal includes unit a cell array in which unit cells are arranged according to a preset arrangement reference. A unit cell includes a thin film filter(112) and a light detecting unit(113). The thin film filter passes only a light signal corresponding to a wavelength reference preset from the light signal. The thin film filter is attached to the light detecting unit. A light current is generated from a light signal passing the thin film filter. |
