PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply switching device used for vehicular engine control and an engine control apparatus having the same, capable of maintaining a driving state without stopping an engine upon failure in a microcomputer. SOLUTION: Control means 26 controls engine stopping or driving with two signals from a determination means 23 formed of first input determination means 21 and second input determination means 22 and an input signal I2 from running detection means.
