<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile hood excellently absorbing energy through deformation of the hood against an impact load in the horizontal direction from a vehicle body front part and increased in the deformation stroke. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A striker 24 is fixed to an inner panel 22 in such a way that a pair of legs 24A and 24B of the striker 24 may be positioned at the forward side and the rearward side of a vehicle body and then a bending strength of a segment near each of the fixed portions of the pair of front and rear legs 24A, 24B against the inner panel 22 is set to have a certain difference at each of the vehicle body front side and the vehicle body rear side.
