Provided is a laser arc hybrid welding head which can form good beads by suppressing welding defects. A laser arc hybrid welding head (1) performing overlap welding of a galvanized steel sheet (51) by performing laser light irradiation and arc discharge, thereby combining laser welding and arc welding comprises a laser torch (11) for irradiating the galvanized steel sheet (51) with inputted laser light (L) while condensing the light, an arc electrode (23) provided in the upstream of the (11) in the welding direction and generating arc (A) between the arc electrode (23) and the galvanized steel sheet (51), and an arc controller (24) for controlling the transfer mode of a welding droplet from the arc electrode (23) to be short circuit transfer.
