PURPOSE: A soda-lime-silica glass composition for display panels is provided to improve reactivity and failure rate of electrode patterns. CONSTITUTION: A soda-lime-silica glass composition for display panels comprises 56-72 parts SiO2, 0-5 parts Al2O3, 0.5-5 parts ZrO2, 4-15 parts Na2O, 0.1-7 parts K2O, 1-9 parts MgO, and 7-13 parts CaO. The sum of Na2O and K2O is 10-16 parts. And the sum of MgO and CaO is 10-17 parts. A weight ratio of K2O/R2O is 0.1-0.6, wherein R is alkali metal. The soda-lime-silica glass composition exhibits deformation temperature of 530°C or higher, melting temperature of 1460°C or lower, and thermal expansion coefficient of 80 ×10^-7 ~ 95 ×10^-7/°C at 50~350°C. |
