PURPOSE: A fuel battery system having gas inhalation valve for preventing deterioration of fuel battery is provided to prevent deterioration generated by exchanging oxide of cathode through electrolytic membrane. CONSTITUTION: A fuel battery system comprises a hydrogen recirculation blower (117), recirculation line blocking valve (116) and hydrogen purge valve (118). The front end of the hydrogen recirculation blower comprises gas inhalation line (115a) and gas inhalation valve (119). A controller (131,132) regulates each valve and hydrogen recirculation blower to remove residual hydrogen.
