<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for hydrogen production which can efficiently produce hydrogen from an oxygen-containing hydrocarbon with a low methane selectivity at a high yield. <P>SOLUTION: A catalyst comprising a regular mesoporous body and at least one metal, which is selected from Pt, Pd, Rh, Re, Ir, Ru and Os and is supported on the porous body, is brought into contact with an oxygen-containing hydrocarbon having 2 or more carbon atoms at a predetermined temperature, and the oxygen-containing hydrocarbon is reformed by any one of steam reforming, autothermal reforming, and partial oxidation reforming to produce hydrogen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
