PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make utterance by a utterance method how a user is easy to hear a numerics. SOLUTION: The utterance device includes: a speech synthesis section 55 which utters in either of a first utterance method that numerics of a plurality of digits are read one by one, or a second utterance method that the numerics of the plurality of digits are read by digit grouping, when numerics of the plurality of digits are included in a given letter string; a user definition table 81, a relating table 83, a local table 84 and a digit number table 87, which relate classification of the letter string, to either of the first utterance method or the second utterance method; a process implementation section 53 for implementing process and outputting data; and an utterance control section 51 for making the speech synthesis section 55 utter the letter string created by the utterance method which is related to the classification of the output data in the first utterance method and the second utterance method.
