PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the maintenance of a valve mechanism which opens or closes a vent pipe and a work for vapor recovery. SOLUTION: The vent pipe coupler 10 keeps the inside of a coupler body 30 equipped with: a first vent mechanism 80 which opens or closes according to a difference between a pressure in an underground tank and an atmospheric pressure; a second valve mechanism 90 which defines a pressure space 250 by moving toward the first valve mechanism 80 when recovering vapor; and a third valve mechanism 100 which is disposed in the second valve mechanism 90 and opens or closes between the first valve mechanism 80 and it. The third mechanism 100 has a fifth valve 102 which opens or closes according to a difference between the pressure P1 in the underground tank and the atmospheric pressure Pa. The pressure which opens the fifth valve 102 has been set so that when the pressure in the underground tank increases to a predetermined pressure or above, it opens by the springing force of a second spring member 180. The pressure for releasing the atmosphere when recovering vapor is set by a back pressure confined in a through-opening 56 and the action of the springing force of the second spring member 180.
