<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for manufacturing ethylene oxide which can highly efficiently and highly selectively manufacture ethylene oxide, and can be used for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: In the catalyst for manufacturing ethylene oxide which is prepared by carrying a catalyst component on a carrier using α-alumina as a main component, an alkali metal-pre-doping carrier is used for the carrier which is preliminarily impregnated with an alkali metal and dried, and thermally treated at 400-950°C for 0.1-10 hours in the inert atmosphere of an oxygen concentration of less than 5 vol%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
