<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair capable of preventing careless unlocking of locking means for a backrest and damage to the appearance of the chair by providing the locking means for the backrest at a position where it is not easily erroneously operated and is inconspicuous. <P>SOLUTION: The chair is provided with a seat 3 between right and left posts 2 and the backrest 4 so as to be brought down forward at the rear part of the seat 3.
