摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of heightening reliability of a strength evaluation method of a gear subjected to vacuum carburization. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A detection coil 28 is supported by a detection coil support 24 through a resin body 36 having a triangular cross section having excellent insulation property. Since the resin body 36 has the triangular cross section, the detection coil 28 can be brought close to a tooth bottom 37 of a gear 15. Acceptance determination is performed based on a carburized depth of the tooth bottom. If the tooth bottom is within an acceptance reference depth range, the tooth bottom can be regarded wholly as having an acceptance level, to thereby heighten reliability of strength evaluation.
