<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for improving blanket piling, in particular, in terms of dampening water compositions and to provide dampening water compositions that are excellent in other printing properties, such as giving no damage to an image part on a printing plate and suppressing stains on a dampening roller. <P>SOLUTION: The dampening water composition for lithographic printing comprises at least one acyclic hydrocarbon diol compound having 9 carbon atoms in total and having two OH groups wherein the number of carbon atoms existing between the two OH groups via minimal distance is from 2 to 6, and at least one cationic compound represented by a predetermined formula. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
