<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical film used for a polarizer protective film of a liquid crystal display (LCD), etc., hardly causing deterioration of quality such as creases and scar due to dispersion in separation performance, and dispersion in retardation to thereby meet requirements for widening and quality improvement of a polarizer protective film or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the optical film using a solution-casting film-making process includes a casting zone A, a web drawing zone B and a web drying zone C, wherein after the casting zone A, one of the drawing zone B and the drying zone C is disposed, and the other is disposed after that. An ultraviolet irradiation device and/or normal pressure plasma device is installed in one zone to zone transition part out of zone to zone transition parts of the zones different in atmospheric temperature, or all of zone to zone transition parts, thereby performing high energy treatment to the web transferred through the zone to zone transition part with ultraviolet irradiation and/or normal pressure plasma irradiation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
