<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of securing a sufficient loading amount of a bundle of sheets even if a sheet processing device has an edge stitch processing function and a saddle stitch processing function, and reducing the size of the device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sheet processing device has a sheet aligning part 3 generating a bundle of sheets, an edge stitch processing part 4 stitching up one end of the bundle of sheets generated by the sheet aligning part 3, a saddle stitch processing part 9 stitching up a middle part of the bundle of sheets in a conveying direction, and a loading tray 8 capable of loading the bundle of sheets subjected to edge stitching processing by the edge stitch processing part 4 and also capable of loading the bundle of sheets subjected to saddle stitching processing by the saddle stitch processing means. In the sheet processing device, for example, an opening 7 for discharging sheets to the outside of a device housing 100 is included, the loading tray 8 is provided below the opening 7 outside the device housing 100, and the saddle stitch processing part 9 is provided above the loading tray 8 outside the device housing 100.
