<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment assembling device capable of assembling segments even when their spacing angle and girder thickness of the segments are large, miniaturizing a segment receiving space, and ensuring a wide effective space in a machine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The controlling assembling device 3 has a segment holding mechanism 8 for holding segments 12 by engaging an engagement part 14 with an engagement receiving part 13 provided on each segment 12, and holds the segments 12 by the segment holding mechanism 8 and conveys the segments to the desired position on an inner surface of a tunnel. The segment holding mechanism 8 moves the engagement part 14 in the axial direction of the tunnel and engages it with the engagement receiving part 13 of the segments 12 to be supplied to a lower part in the tunnel.
