<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demand control system and a demand control method capable of preventing a demand value from exceeding a target value at completion of a demand time limit, while allowing gradual change in the optical output of a luminaire. <P>SOLUTION: The demand control system predicts at completion of a demand time limit of 12:00-12:30 as to whether a demand value exceeds a target value at the time of completion of a demand time limit of 13:00-13:30 as a predicted demand time limit. When it is predicted that the demand value exceeds the target value, the demand control system executes long-time demand control to reduce the optical output of the luminaire, as time elapses over a control time of 12:30-13:30. Thus, the power consumption P1 of the luminaire during 13:00-13:30 is reduced, and thereby the demand value is prevented from exceeding the target value at the predicted demand-time limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
