PURPOSE: An electric power steering control apparatus is provided to suppress the affect applied to a driver due to the torque change of a motor. CONSTITUTION: An electric power steering control apparatus is composed of a torque sensor(4), a motor(5), a motor target torque computing unit(21), and a motor applying voltage computing unit(23). The torque sensor detects the steering torque of a steering system. The motor generates the torque assisting the steering torque. The motor target torque computing unit corresponds to the steering torque signal from the torque sensor. The motor applying voltage computing unit corresponds to the motor target torque signal from the motor target torque computing unit. The rate of the steering torque signal of the motor target torque of the motor target torque computing unit is set so that the affect applied to a driver is less than the fixed value.
