<p>The invention relates to a method of transmitting a data signal in a wireless communication system fro m a primary station to a secondary station, said data signal comprising a medium access control header (MAC-hs header) and a protocol data unit associated with said medium access control header, said medium access control header comprising a set of fields (TSN, SEG, LI, LCid), wherein said method comprises determining a size allocated to at least one field of the set on the basis of a length of the protocol data unit. For example, the size allocated to a segmentation indication field (SEG) determined for a first length of the protocol data unit is lower than the one determined for a second length of the protocol data unit, said second length being higher than said first length, said segmentation indication indicating in how many segments the protocol data unit is subdivided.</p> |
