PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain connection by remote access via a proxy server between a server and client equipment regardless of the setting of the proxy server.

SOLUTION: An information processing unit has: an application data reception buffer for temporarily storing data transmitted from the client equipment for initiating connection; an application data reception section for acquiring the data transmitted from the client equipment from the application data reception buffer for transmitting to an upper-level application; and a flow control reception management section for transferring the data sent from the client equipment to the application data reception buffer, monitoring a free space in the application data reception buffer, and notifying the client equipment of data capacity that the application data reception buffer can receive.
